Jim has been in the industry since he was 16 years old. He was a Chevrolet/GMC Franchise Dealer for 16 years between Kitty Hawk, North Carolina and Franklin, Virginia. Jim was hired in 2020 and with his extensive experience and knowledge of the industry, he can provide great deals with great vehicles for any customer. His favorite part of the job is meeting lots of great people every day.

Paul Huffman - Sales

Paul has been in the car industry as a salesman and as a manager since 1989, however in 2001 he took a break from that field to be closer with his family. He then worked in the medical field for 20 years and has recently made his way back to the car industry in June of 2022 and is a phenomenal employee. His favorite part of working in the car industry is the abundance of great people he gets to meet every day.

Started on October 15th, 2022. That was his first day in the car industry and he is a dedicated sales professional. Newly married and is hoping to build up his family. Originally from San Diego, California, Trenton Lapetina made the move to Virginia in July 2026 and officially joined our team as an Automotive Advisor on August 25, 2026. Outside of work, Trenton enjoys attending church, staying active at the gym, fishing, and spending time outdoors. While he's new to the automotive industry, he brings a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a genuine commitment to providing every customer with an exceptional experience. For Trenton, great customer service means being dependable, resourceful, and willing to go the extra mile. If you have a question he doesn't immediately have the answer to, rest assured, he'll find it and will get back to you before the hour is over.

Freddie James, Jr. is our newest Photographer & Content Creator. He joined the Back Roads family on April 2, 2026. A graduate of Virginia State University, Freddie earned his bachelor's degree in Mass Communications and brings experience in photography, social media, digital content creation, and strategic communications. A U.S. Air Force veteran with a passion for visual storytelling, Freddie uses his creative eye to bring the Back Roads brand to life through engaging photography, video, and digital content.

During his free time, he enjoys shooting high fashion and street photography, graphic designing, & going to the movies.

Working on cars has been a passion of Caleb's since he was a freshman in high school. Over the years, he's enjoyed figuring out issues large and small. His favorite vehicle was his 1988 BMW. He has a huge amount of training and experience at both Nissan and Honda dealers. We are very fortunate he has brought his high level of knowledge to our team. He works hard to ensure our vehicles are in great shape for our Back Roads Automotive customers. He married his best friend Alezia last year and together they have Daisy. She's a loved pit bull and boxer mix. Caleb enjoys ultimate frisbie, disc golf and watching his favorite baseball team - the Mets!

His biggest passion has always been washing cars and producing amazing results for our customers. With his 40+ years of detailing experience, the cars he cleans always end up looking as beautiful as ever.

Brad Knight - Detailer/Reconditioner

Brad Knight is one of our seasoned Detailers and Reconditioners, bringing years of hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and genuine passion for the automotive industry to our team. Brad's journey with cars began at just 16 years old when he first started detailing. He later served in the U.S. Army as a Combat Infantryman with the 101st Airborne Division. Following his military service, Brad continued building his automotive expertise by earning an Associate of Applied Science in Automotive Technology. He then spent a year in Florida studying Auto Body Repair at Mid Florida Tech, further expanding his knowledge of vehicle restoration and reconditioning. Outside of work, Brad enjoys disc golf, fishing, and of course cars. Most importantly, he is a proud father to his 15 year old son, with who he shares a close bond.

Kaelen Orlando - Detailer/Reconditioner

Kaelen Orlando is one of our newest Detailers/Reconditioners. Orlando is a skilled mechanic and lifelong car enthusiast with over five years of experience detailing a wide variety of vehicles. Having spent most of his life in Virginia, his passion for cars goes far beyond the garage. In his free time, Orlando enjoys restoring classic Japanese vehicles and bringing them back to life with his own personal touch.
